Got my grades back, five B's and one C. I probably could have done better, but... why? I mean, it's a BA degree program, so we all get the same piece of paper in the end. I know a couple of students who are soooo desperate to get a 90% or above average and be on the honor roll or dean's list or whatever it's called, and I just think, why? What's the point of all that effort if in the end we all get the same reward? Personal accomplishment? No thanks, i'd rather have a life consisting of something other than college, study, sleep, repeat. If I could, I would do only the EXACT amount of work needed to get the 65% average required to stay in the program, and NOTHING else. Besides, anyone can just study really hard and ace everything, getting on the honor roll. It takes a REAL genius to get EXACTLY 65% in every course he takes in a four year college program. Imagine the people at the end looking at averages to see who gets the degrees.

"Well he got 65%."
"Rounded up?"
"No, I mean 65%. No decimals. 65.0000000..."
"Holy crap."

Now THAT is an accomplishment. But since that's not feasible, here I am with a B average, and proud of it.
